Australian Mn46 lumps are currently focused on RMB33.5-34/mtu and the same for Mn48 sand ore. Meanwhile, South African Mn38 lumps are pricing at RMB29-29.5/mtu while RMB32.5-33.5/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Gabonese Mn 45-46 lumps are now lingered about RMB31.5-32/mtu while RMB30.5-31.5/mtu for Brazilian Mn 44-45 lumps and RMB29-29.5/mt for sand ore.

As for domestic manganese carbonate ore, prices of Mn15%Fe1% in Xiushan of Chongqing maintained at RMB670-680/mt without VAT. In fact, high production cost exerted great pressure on miners and allowed most of them to make cooperation with electrolytic manganese suppliers.

In terms of importing, it is reported that Chiina total imported roughly 1.52 million tons of manganese ore in July provided by Chinese Custom Statistics, registering an increasing of 7.2% m-o-m. In the first seven months of 2014, China total imported more or less 9.4 million tons manganese ore , showing a year on year 8.3% up. .

In conclusion, it is predicted that supply pressure for imported manganese ore spot market in China would be hard to ease in short terms despite actively movement for some kinds ore in recent period.
