In the first seven months of 2014, silicon manganese output of China totaled 6.1939 million tonsa, showing a slightly uptrend on the basis of 5.99 million tons in the same period of last year.

In terms of silicon manganese yield distribution, in north areas, it is reported that output for Inner Mongolia reached 87.9 thousand tons, Ningxia amounted to 112.3 thousand tons while 38.3 thouand tons for Gansu province. As of south areas, Guangxi still put the first place as the biggest silicon manganese production area with 242 thousand tons, while Guizhou ranked the second with 122 thousand ton. Meanwhile, silicon manganese output in Hunan reached 95 thousand and 41.5 thousand tons for Yunnan province.
