Print[Ferro-Alloys.com]In recent week the high carbon ferrochrome totally declined by RMB50-100/mt along with the new round of purchase of steel mills. Now the mainstream price of Domestically produced FeCr was RMB6200-6450/mt. the import FeCr price stayed stable as India ferrochrome spot was RMB6,500-6,600/mt(50% Cr basis), South African ferrochrome RMB6,400-6,500/mt (50% Cr basis) and Kazakhstan FeCr RMB7,600-7,700/mt (50% Cr basis). In respect of the futures, India FeCr, USD0.82-0.83lb Cr, South African FeCr, USD0.80-0.82/lb; Kazakhstan FeCr, USD0.93-0.94/lb Cr. Despite of the falling market of China, the import FeCr producers were reluctant to reduce the price for the high cost and few stock.
The ferrochrome market in Europe with ferrochrome (Cr 60-65% C6-8%) being offered at USD1.04-1.12（+0.01）/lb Cr and the material with Cr60-70%, C 0.1% being USD2.08-2.15/lb Cr. Meanwhile, US ferrochrome market condition was listed as followed: FeCr (Cr60-65% C6-8%), USD1.11-1.18/lb Cr; FeCr (Cr 65%min C0.05%max), USD2.25-2.28/lb Cr; FeCr (Cr62%min C0.1%max) , USD2.08-2.12（+0.02）/lb Cr.
This week the low carbon FeCr(C25) was quoted at RMB11700-11900/60mt, C10 was RMB12000-12200/60mt and C6 was RMB12200-12400/60mt(ex-works price with tax). Two large steel mills-Baosteel and Tisco also maintained the purchase price of Sep.. steady.
The chromium metal in both European and Chinese market stayed standard with offers at USD9000-9500/mt and RMB58000-62000/mt respectively. Even though the supply was still tight in some areas of China, the price was expected to be hard to go up in short term for the loose demand.
