[Fellow]It is reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) of Vietnam will impose a new tariff on stainless steel product imports from four Asian countries including China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia.

[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) of Vietnam will impose a new tariff on stainless steel product imports from four Asian countries including China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Since Vietnam has joined the ASEAN, stainless steel products from the member countries were changed 0% to 10% import tax depend on the origin. However, the Vietnamese government wants to protect the local producers.

The new stainless steel products’ tax range will from 3.07% to 37.29%, and will be effective in October, 2014.

The highest duty which is 37.29% will impose on Yuan Long Stainless Steel Corporation from Taiwan.
