[Ferro-alloys.com] According to latest statistics of China Customs, exports of Chinese ferrosilicon were 42,357 mt in August 2014, decreasing by 15.4% from 50,038 mt of July 2014 and increasing by 52.6% from 27,749 mt of August 2013.

In August 2014, Chinese ferrosilicon was mainly exported to Japan 16,181                                                                                                                        mt, the United States of America 8,756 mt, South Korea 5,962 mt and the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu. The volumes of July 2014 were 20,567 mt, 9,389 mt, 8,947 mt and 3,116 mt, respectively. Thus we could find exports all decreased to the three major destinations of Japan, South Korea and the US, especially Japan.

In the period of January to August 2014 total export volumes of Chinese ferrosilicon were278, 524 mt, increasing by over 50 thousand tons from the same period of 2013.
