Ukraine's ferroalloy production increased 35.7% year on year to 111,000 mt in November from 81,800 mt in November 2013 and was also up from 92,200 mt produced in October, UkrFa, an association of Ukrainian ferroalloy producers, said Thursday.

In November, Ukraine produced 85,100 mt of silicomanganese, up from 58,800 mt produced a year ago. Ferromanganese output increased to 10,400 mt from 7,500 mt, but production of ferrosilicon fell to 15,500 mt from 15,600 mt.

In January through November, Ukraine's output of ferroalloy increased 25.4% year on year to 983,300 mt from 784,300 mt produced a year ago, the association said.

Ukraine produced 756,200 mt of silicomanganese in the first 11 months, up from 568,700 mt produced a year ago. Ferrosilicon output increased to 135,300 mt from 135,100 mt and production of ferromanganese rose to 91,800 mt from 73,300 mt, but output of metallic manganese dropped to zero from 7,200 mt.

Ukraine is one of the world's biggest ferroalloy producers and exporters.

In 2013, Ukraine produced 872,100 mt of ferroalloy, down from 1.026 million mt in 2012 and down from 1.189 million mt produced in 2011.
