[Ferro-Alloys.com]It is reported that silicon manganese exports in China shrank to 3,429.425 tons for 2014 on the basis of 17,170.366 tons in 2013, and the situation is the same for imports according to dada from Chinese Customs Statistics. In 2014, China only imported 860.811 tons of silicon manganese, representing a sharp down from the same period of 2013 with 13,302.426 volumes.

In terms of Customs, it is reported that Huangpu Customs proved to be our main Custom on silicon manganese exporting for 2,480 volumes in 2014, and Tianjin placed the second with 420 tons. Meanwhile, China exported 358.9 tons of silicon manganese from Huhhot Customs, others less than 100 tons. As for silicon manganese exports destination, Taiwan Province of China became as main destination with 2,400 tons from China in 2014. Meanwhile, China exported 418.9 tons of silicon manganese to Mongolia, 500 tons to Lybia, 50 tons to Ghana and 60 tons to Kazakshstan. As our traditional silicon manganese exporter, Japan only purchased 0.525 tons of silicon manganese from China in 2014.

As of import data, China totally imported 12,695.361 tons of silicon manganese from Kazakshstan in 2013, 523.876 tons from Australia, and others volumes is very small. In 2014,China imported 315.57 tons from Rumania and 500 tons from Malaysia, 31.5 from South Korea.

Overall, given slumping sale in China, coupled with high export tariff as well as frequent fluctuations in exchange rates, export market for silicon manganese in 2014 continued to sluggish.
