China was experiencing economic transformation and growth rate slowed down. In 2014, crude steel output of China increased by just 0.9% and steel price continued to drop, which brought much difficulty to Mn industry. Mn alloy output had decreased for months and the price dropped much. It was very likely that market price would drop below RMB6000/mt.

It was estimated that Mn ore output increased by no less than 10% in 2014. On the other hand, SiMn output of China increased by just 1.68%. Oversupply of Mn ore would be more severe in 2015. It was predicted Mn alloy price would touched bottom soon and 2015 would be a very difficult year for Mn industry.
