Silicon manganese 6517 stood at RMB65,600-5,700/mt in northwest of China, while RMB5,700-5,800/mt for traders. In south, the price concentrated on RMB5,800-5,900/mt, only several put price firm at RMB6,000-6,050/mt. For 6014, the price stood at RMB5,200-5,300/mt. Meanwhile, High carbon ferromanganese 65 is now concentrating on 5,100-5,200/mt in south while RMB5,000-5,100/mt in north. Medium carbon ferromanganese 75C2.0 with low p containing is focusing on RMB8,000-8,100/mt while RMB8,300-8,400/mt for 78C2.0 as well as RMB8,700-8,800/mt for 78C1.5. Low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7 is traded at RMB9,000-9,200/mt.

In terms of production situation, manganese alloy operation rates in south areas like Guangxi, Guizhou and Hunan continued to shrink. Pilot direct purchase for electricity in Guangdong and Shanxi would likely to alleviate cost pressure for large scale alloys companies to some degree, but it seems that grieve competition made mass suppliers in local areas postpone the resumption of production plan. In north, spot market transaction also nearly put into standstill responsible for transport pressure.

All in all, given current situation, it is estimated that manganese alloy market would likely to remain poor performance in the near future.
