[Ferro-alloys.com] The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China released <Access Conditions of Ferroalloy Industry (revised in 2015)> (draft) recently. The document said, in new EMM factories, for general grade EMM produced according to the standard YB/T051, power consumption of direct current should be no more than 5800 KWH/mt. Water consumption should be no more than 3 m³/mt. Recovery rate of soluble manganese in the raw materials must be 82% or higher. Soluble manganese content in manganese residue after efficient filter should be no more than 1.1%. Besides that, lean Mn ore with less than 14% of Mn could not be directly used to produce EMM.
