[Ferro-Alloys.com]It is reported that Indonesia’s steelmakers are urging the government to impose an export tax on slabs.

Slabs are semi-finished steel products. The domestic steelmakers said they are seeking a 10% duty which will be necessary to help them secure the products.

Currently, Krakatau Posco is the sole producer of slabs in the domestic market.
