A major fire broke out in Anantpur village based TS Alloys factory situated in Athgarh, Cuttack district of Odisha late last night, a blast furnace of the steel factory was completely gutted in the accident.
The blast furnace number one of the high carbon ferro alloys plant, which essential suppliers to stainless steel producers, burst into flames at night while around 30 workers were working in the factory.
Around 5 fire engine were pressed into action to subdue the flames. The fire fighting was on all night and was completely controlled around 4 am in the morning.
The blast furnace caught fire while the factory was running, no casualties have been reported in the incident. (SourcesOST):
