[Ferro-Alloys.com]Japan’s nickel-containing stainless steel scrap purchase prices were at ¥100,000-110,000/ton in April, in Kanto area, remained as high compared to March’s level.
Those for central and the Kansai region of the procurement of special steel has improved since the end of February. The current purchase prices are at ¥115,000-120,000/ton.
Due to the production is expected to rebound from April to July this year, the steel output cut will sustain prices go up. Therefore, mills to restart production and buying stainless steel scrap.
