Ferro Chrome(Fecr) price is going down continuously in China now after big consumers of Baosteel,Tisco and Qingshan confirmed their purchased price comparing with price in December,2016.

In Dec,2016 , Ferro chrome Price was RMB10800/mt (50% cr basis) from Baosteel, RMB10600/Mt from Tisco, and RMB10650/mt from Qingshan, all with payment term against cargo approved by steel mills at sight.

In Jan, 2017, Ferro Chrome price is RMB10300/Mt (50% cr basis) from Baosteel, RMB10100/Mt from Tisco, and RMB10200/mt from Qingshan. They are three major consumers of ferro chrome .high carbon. Price decreased RMB500-550/mt than last month. Other steels, like Jiusteel, RMB10200, Posco China at RMB10200, other steels purchased price recently already dropped to RMB10000/mt. All supply quantity were fully assured. 

From Suppliers of China, they accepted this decreased and felt still comfortable about this slightly drop, for the price went up too much and too fast, this drop is falling in expection and all supliers are not too much concerned or worried this drop. even that, they still have good profit.

Chrome ore from SA, Major suppliers already sold about 100000mt at usd390/dmt for 40-42 grade,and do not worry the drop presure of market, and even they feel market is coming down from the peak. Small suppliers with 2000-5000mt quantity, offered much lower price around 340-350usd/dmt cif basis, about 10% dropped already, and Spot market in China is also going down . All that is because consumers have not come to buy and waiting for the market change,so Chrome price cannot stay strong in second half of Jan and Feb. But some consumers said price will not drop over than 20% in Feb shipment. some others said price of chrome ore has to come down ,otherwise they are not willing to buy, for they believe the ferro chrome price will go down further below RMB9800/mt in Feb,2017.

We, agreed that the ferro chrome price will be RMB9700-10000/mt next Month.
