Li Haichao, Deputy Director of Futures Supervision Department under China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) paid a visit to China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) yesterday afternoon.

Ferrous metals prices continued soaring, ignoring measures taken by regulators, such as position limits and trading margin adjustments. 

The visit by CSRC suggests surge in ferrous metals prices has caught regulator’s attention and that more measures may be taken if ferrous metals futures prices continue rising sharply.
