PrintAccording to World Bureau of Metal Statistics, the nickel market oversupplied around 56,000 tons in first half of 2012. However, the total oversupply in 2011 was only at 7,000 tons.
Also, the output of refined nickel in Japan increased by 1,400 tons YoY in the first half of 2012.
However, the real demand dropped sharply by around 162,000 tons at the same time.
Meanwhile, the production of nickel metallurgical plant was nearly 160,000 tons in June 2012.
