Yamal Project is the first super-huge type oversea project since Chinese Government started to push forward “One Belt, One Road”Construction. It’s also the first China-Russia full industry chain project in Arctic Circle. When the project construction is finished, it will product 16.5 million tons LNG, and 1 million tons condensate oil.It will push forward optimization of energy structure. 

Yamal Project is located in Yamal Peninsula in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District in Arctic Circle. The environmental condition is harsh. The lowest temperature is under subzero 52 degree Celsius.The project needs plenty of high quality stainless pipeline, especially the material character should satisfy the requirement in low temperature condition.In 2014, after comprehensively understood the requirement,  Taiyuan Iron & Steel positively made cooperation with famous straight pipe manufacture, and successfully became a qualified supplier of Yamal Project. Then, pointed to the low temperature embrittlement, low temperature welding and other technical issues in extremely cold weather, Taiyuan Iron & Steel spared no effort to overcome the issues. After repeating experiments, They successfully developed a kind of stainless steel with high anti-corrosion , good impact toughness in low temperature, and high welding performance.
