Steel venture on Immingham port

A Humber port is to spend through £65m in extending its steel shipping task.

British Steel has consented to exchange its offices at Immingham port to the dock's proprietor Associated British Ports (ABP).

As a component of the speculation ABP will introduce extra ship compartments and additional cranes.

The North East Lincolnshire port handles more than 5.5 million tons of iron metal, coal and coke which is utilized at British Steel's Scunthorpe manufacturing plant.
