[Ferro-Alloys.com] Production: In Jan-Feb, China pig iron and crude steel production was 132 million tons and 155 million tons, up by 3.06% and 3.07% YoY respecrively; steel products production was 167 million tons, down by3.39% YoY.

 

Price: China steel price average index was103.34 in Jan-Feb, down by 3.3％ YoY. China steel price index was by February, 28, down by 5.71％ YoY.

 

 

Income and Profit: In Jan-Feb, revenue of ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry was 821.94 billion yuan, down by year on year and total profit was 12.89 billion yuan, down by 34.4％ year on year.

 

Exports and Imports. According to China Customs, in Jan-Feb, China exported 7.811 million tons, down by 27.0% year on year and export value was $61.069 million, down by 28.5% year on year; and steel import up by 2.1% YoY to 2.041 million tons, import value down by 13% YoY to $20.779 million.

 

Iron ore price. In Jan-Feb, average price index of iron ore was near 330. China iron ore price index was 345.0 at the end of January, an increase of 11.9 （3.6%） vs. last montn； and the price index was 311.3 at the end of February, up by 11.93 （3.9%） from the begining of February.（MIIT）
