[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to monitoring data of Ministry of Commerce, steel prices rose slightly from August 31 to September 6, including 4047 yuan, 4305 yuan, 3913 yuan and 4044 yuan per ton for high-speed wire rod, welded steel pipe, rebar and channel steel, respectively, which increased by 0.8%, 0.8%, 0.6% and 0.5% respectively.
According to monitoring data of Ministry of Commerce, the price of coal fluctuated slightly from August 31 to September 6, of which the price of steam coal was 558 yuan per ton, up 0.2%, the price of No.2 anthracite lump coal was 894 yuan per ton, down 0.1%, and the price of coking coal was 746 yuan per ton, which was the same as that of the previous week.
The UK car sector slowed in August, with car registrations falling on the year after rebounding in July, despite a boost in zero-emission capable vehicle demand.
New car registrations dropped by 5.8pc on the year in July to 87,226 units, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturing and Traders (SMMT). Auto sales across the first eight months were down by 39.7pc to 915,615 units, mostly driven by the impacts of the two-month Covid-19 lockdown.
