[Ferro-Alloys.com]Shanxi Province based Chinese steelmaker Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co has announced that in 2012 it achieved a record annual finished steel output amounting to 10.15 million tonne up 2.52% YoY, including 3.1 million tonne of stainless, up 2.65% YoY. TISCO has the biggest stainless steel production capacity in the world.

 

In addition, in 2012 TISCO achieved an operating revenue of CNY 140.5 billion (USD 22.5 billion), increasing by 10.63% YoY while its net profit reached CNY 400 million (USD 64.1 million). In 2011, TISCO had recorded a finished steel output of 9.9 million tonne including 3.02 million tonne of stainless steel, with an operating revenue of CNY 127 billion (USD 20.4 billion).
