According to customs statistics released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation, Japan's exports of steel products in November were 2.43 million tons, down 2.5% from a month earlier, down 10.4% from a year earlier.

In January-November this year, Japan's steel exports were 29.57 million tons, down 4.7%t from the same period last year.

With regard to Japan's main steel export market, the country's total steel exports to South Korea in the first 11 months of this year were 4.46 million tons, down 11.3%, while exports to China increased 18.4% to 5.47 million tons.
