According to the General Administration of Customs, China exported 4.85 million tons of steel in December 2020, an increase of 448,000 tons over the previous month, an increase of 3.5% over the same period last year; From January to December 2020, China exported 53.671 million tons of steel, down 16.5% from the same period last year.
China imports 1.375 million tons of steel in December, down 479.000 tons from last month, down 7.3% from the same period last year; From January to December, China imported 2.023 million tons of steel, an increase of 64.4% over the same period last year.
In December, China imported 96.746 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, with an average import price of $121.4 per ton, down 1.404 million tons from last month, down 4.5% from the same period last year; From January to December 2020, China imported 117.01 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, an increase of 9.5% from the same period last year, with an average annual import price of $101.7 per ton.
