Print[Ferro-Alloys.com]Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced that Ulsan Aluminum Limited has joined as a Production and Transformation member, bringing the total number of ASI Members to 173. Located in the industrial hub of Korea, Ulsan Aluminum, Ltd is a joint venture between Novelis and Kobe Steel focused on producing automotive and specialty sheet in order to meet the increasing demand for lightweight rolled aluminum products across Asia. While the company is jointly owned and operated and shares production capacities, each company is responsible for its own aluminum metal supply, production processes and certifications.
Ulsan Aluminum Ltd President & CEO Mr Jerry Quick said “Joining ASI and working to receiving ASI certifications for both the Performance Standard and the Chain of Custody for Ulsan Aluminum represents an important step in our commitment to sustainability. With this we are also supporting our parent companies, Novelis and Kobe Steel in their commitment to sustainability, transparent reporting and customer-focused achievement.”
