According to data of China Customs, in May 2021, China's total imports of stainless steel were 302600 tons, with a month on month increase of 78100 tons or 34.83%; and a year-on-year increase of 171900 tons or 131.43%.

From January to May 2021, China's stainless steel imports totaled 1.0699 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 613900 tons or 134.68%.
