The equipment has the capacity to produce 1 million tonnes per year of steel, however, production will take place gradually and in line with market demand. Rollers 1 and 2 will continue the development of special steels at the unit, which currently has an installed capacity of 1.2 million tons of steel per year.

For the operation of rolling mill 3, built in 2015, ArcelorMittal was waiting for improvements in market conditions. The aim of the laminator is to guarantee full customer service.
