【Ferro-alloys.com】Hydro has entered into a power purchase agreement with Competitive Power Ventures. CPV will start supplying power to Hydro Cressona in 2022. CPV's PPA with Hydro consists of about 48MW of generation and is the first long-term energy contract signed by Hydro in the U.S. Energy from CPV's Maple Hill solar facility will secure power prices for Hydro's aluminum extrusion facility in Cressona, Pennsylvania, one of the largest of its kind in the world. The plant employs about 1,100 workers.

CPV began construction of its Maple Hill solar facility earlier this year and will start providing power to the Hydro Cressona facility in the second quarter of 2022.

Hydro recently announced plans to invest USD 48.3 million in Cressona, Pennsylvania, to support the growing transportation, distribution, and industrial market segments in North America.
