US integrated steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs has raised its flat steel prices by $100/short ton (st).
The company also raised its minimum hot rolled coil (HRC) price to $1,300/st.
It is the first published price increase by a US steelmaker since 13 March.
Since then, the Argus US HRC Midwest and southern assessments have flattened out at $1,150/st. Some steelmakers have been wanting higher HRC spot prices, but no one has reported achieving spot pricing above $1,150/st for hot band products. argusmedia
