This is the fifth time that Baosteel is awarded "China Charity Award" and the second time that it is rated "most charitable enterprise". According to statistics, Baosteel donated a total of more than 64 million last year.
"China Charity Award" organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs is the highest government award in China's philanthropy area. Its aim is to recognize individuals, institutions and projects which have made outstanding contribution in disaster relief, the relief of the aged, the disabled, orphans and the poor, scholar and medical help, art sponsorship, environmental protection support and other charity field. It aims to vigorously promote the honorable action in the society such as helping the poor, dedication and paying back to the society and the spirit of charity such as demonstrating compassion for the people and helping the community.
