Vietnam's steel industry has seen positive signals to regain growth momentum in the remaining months of 2023 and early 2024, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported Wednesday, citing insiders.
The country's steel enterprises have recorded sound production results thanks to the recovery in demand, according to VNA.
Steel manufacturing output in September totaled nearly 2.34 million tons, up 2.41 percent month-on-month and down 4.2 percent year-on-year.
Nearly 2.2 million tons of steel were sold in September, increasing 4.7 percent month-on-month, and 9.4 percent year-on-year.
Vietnam's construction steel sales reached 958,500 tons in September, the highest since the beginning of this year, according to the Vietnam Steel Association.
Experts are optimistic about the steel industry's recovery in 2024 as the government's policies and the revised Land Law are put in place to support the real estate market and the construction industry. (Xinhua)
