【Ferro-alloys.com】:Ukrainian metallurgical group Metinvest and ltalian industrial equipment manufacturer Danieli have reached an agreement on the construction of a new metallurgical complex at the Piombino plant site. This was announced by the governor of the province of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani.

Metinvest plans to invest about 2 billion euros in the project, called“Digital Green Steel". Steel at the new enterprise is planned to be smelted in an electric arc furnace. Its capacity will be 2.7 million tons of hot-rolled steel per year. Launch is tentatively scheduled for2027.
