【Ferro-alloys.com】: An Australia-based emerging mineral processing technology company Zeotech has reportedly signed an offtake agreement with China-based international trading company Jiangsu Mineral Sources International (MSI) for the direct shipping of ore products like bauxite clay, pink cosmetic grade kaolin and low-iron kaolin.

This agreement enables MSI to purchase these minerals from Zeotech, with specific quantities of each product for the next 5 years.

The quantities of these products include 1.5 million tonnes of bauxitic clay, 150,000 tonnes of pink cosmetic grade kaolin and 800,000 tonnes of low-iron kaolin.

The main focus of the MoU is diverged towards sustaining mining operations at Zeotech's Toondoon Kaolin Project in Queensland, Australia spanning over 28,000 hectares.

The project focuses on conducting mining operations by eliminating overburden.  Allocation of bauxitic clay shall create value-added opportunities for the company, increasing its revenue stream.

Currently, the MoU signed shall expire on December 31, 2025. For this agreement, Zeotech is directly involved with the Gladstone Ports Corporation at the port of Bundaberg. This involvement with the port corporation shall help the company install a bulk mineral conveyor, DSO) storage area and ship loading system.

Zeotech CEO James Marsh said: “We are excited to be able to work with MSI towards a pathway to early cashflow from our ready-to-mine kaolin resources, as we continue to progress with the accelerated commercialisation of our AusPozz high reactivity metakaolin project.”
