Print[Ferro-alloys.com]One of the major uses of EMM is for making Mn3O4, then making soft magnetic materials. We made careful investigation on Mn3O4 industry recently. Mn3O4 was a small industry. Annual demand all over the world was around 100,000 mt and 70% was from China. EMM accounted for 80% of overall production cost of Mn3O4. Currently, annual output of EMM was over one million mt in China and demand from Mn3O4 industry accounted for just 5%-6%. Market concentration of Mn3O4 industry was very high. Production capacity of Kingray New Materials Science & Technology Co., Ltd was the greatest and its domestic market share was as much as 60%. It had its own EMM factory and could supply EMM itself. Sinosteel Anhui Tianyuan Technology co., LTD. was the second largest manufacturer and its market share was about 30%. It needed to purchase about 1000 mt of EMM a month. Some manufacturers took the new craft in which manganese ore was used to produce Mn3O4 directly. Electrolysis was avoided and EMM was not necessary. In general, demand of EMM from Mn3O4 was very low and its impact on EMM industry could be omitted.
