Print[ferro-alloys.com] The price of low-carbon ferro-chrome for the period from October to December in 2013 Japanese stainless steel mills negotiated with overseas ferroalloy producers has been settled at US Cents 194 - 196 per lb. Resultingly, the price has remained at the same range in the 4 consecutive quarters.
Although the consumption by Japanese customers during the period from October to March next year is expected to be kept at a good level, the negotiation resulted in keeping the price at the same level as before.
For a reference, once the spot price of low-carbon ferro-chrome rose in July, it has lately dropped to the same level as the regular price (quarterly contract price), and some of prices are at a low level which is below this time's regular price level.
