Chalco Reports Loss of $210 Million In Third Quarter

[Ferro-Alloys.com] China’s biggest aluminium smelter Aluminium Corporation of China (Chalco) recorded a net loss of 1.29 billion yuan ($210 million) in the third quarter, with oversupply and low aluminium prices depressing the domestic market.
 
The loss was up from 1.09 billion yuan a year earlier. “The company is likely to post a second straight full-year loss,” Wang Rong, aluminium analyst at Guotai Junan Futures in Shanghai said.
