PrintChinese coal, crude oil and natural gas consumption (volume of production minus net export) increased higher than 8% in the first half of this year. Target energy consumption per GDP in 2011 decreased 3.5% compared to the corresponding period. If GDP increase 9% in this year, the energy consumption level would be controlled under 5.2%. The actual energy consumption increased more than 7%, the range of energy consumption per GDP descending less than 1.5%. Confront the huge energy-saving pressure, government might take more measures to control energy consumption. In the second half of this year, high energy-consuming sector would retrench.
