Nornickel installs new furnace at Nadezhda Smelter
Nornickel’s flagship enterprise is undergoing a large-scale reconstruction of its pyrometallurgical production, which will significantly improve the reliability of the technological process.
In the smelting shop of the Nadezhda Smelter, specialists have completed the dismantling of the second flash smelting furnace and have begun installing the new smelting unit.
The Nadezhda Smelter processes nickel-pyrrhotite concentrate from the Talnakh Concentrator, nickel concentrate from the Norilsk Concentrator, a metal-containing product from the Talnakh Concentrator, and nickel slag from the Copper Smelter.
